The W2i Digital Cities Convention in Los Angeles kicked off on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2006 with more than 200 public- and private-sector attendees, case-study presentations from several Los Angeles agencies and half a dozen North American cities, panels of industry experts, and two invitation-only roundtables addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable service provider models and digital inclusion. The event was held at the Marriott Downtown Los Angeles and chaired by Mrs. Thera Bradshaw, General Manager, Los Angeles Information Technology Agency.
